Announcement: GIF Reviews

June 17, 2013 Announcement, GIF Reviews 7

Hello everyone!

As part of making different things in our blog and such, Marianne and I decided that other than making the normal book reviews, we’d make reviews with GIFs! But, what’s a GIF? Short for Graphics Interchange Format,  it’s a bitmap image format that was introduced by CompuServe in 1987; and has since come into widespread usage on the World Wide Web due to its wide support and portability (Wikipedia). Or in simple words, it’s an image that moves for a certain amount of time. Like those pictures in the newspapers of the Wizarding World in Harry Potter. That being said, as much as we love books we’ve read, sometimes we can’t be able to write coherently about what we thought of it, because of emotions, laziness, and so on. So, since a picture is worth a thousand words, we’re going to use GIFs as our words for some reviews.

Basically, we’ll do the usual of a review, except that instead of writing a lot, we’ll make a few sentences about characters, setting, plot, and other stuff we might like. And with those, GIFs that go with it. Though, we won’t follow with this all the time. It all depends of the book.

We hope you like ’em! 😀

We're two Puertorican girls who want to share our love of reading with the world. We sometimes substitute words for GIFS and either rant or fangirl a lot in our reviews. Talk to us about anything! 🙂
