Max is a fearless kitten. Max is a brave kitten. Max is a kitten who chases mice. There’s only one problem—Max doesn’t know what a mouse looks like! With a little bit of bad advice, Max finds himself facing a much bigger challenge. Maybe Max doesn’t have to be Max the Brave all the time…

Join this adventurous black cat as he very politely asks a variety of animals for help in finding a mouse. Young readers will delight in Max’s mistakes, while adults will love the subtle, tongue-in-cheek humor of this new children’s classic.

Review:

Max the Brave was a completely adorable, creative, and entertaining book as we see this small but cute kitten on the search for a mouse. The color diversity from each of its pages and drawings of many animals is visually satisfying, ranging from a Rabbit, an Elephant, a MONSTER, and many more. We see how Max truly is brave when facing something scary as he has in his mind the thought that it is only a mouse and he is brave. I requested this book with the main goal of showing it to my nephew. He loves books, and he’s only 2 years and 10 months old. Needless to say, he wouldn’t put down the book once I read it to him. He would go back and forward, repeating what I said, noticing more details the more he looked at it, and so on. With his red cape on, mind you. I put it away but he already made plans to read it again tomorrow.

My mom also made plans for me to read it in his pre-school because of how enjoyable it is. Kid’s will be able to identify with the cat and be brave as well when they face the famous monsters under the bed or hiding in the closet, borrowing this silly kitten’s bravery. Funny, simple to read, and colorful, it is a book that will have many kids running around in their own capes soon.

Now, a few pictures of my nephew! (I managed to iron it without having any burning accidents! haha)
