It’s Boricuan Bookworm’s first year, and as part of the celebration, different authors will be stopping by to talk about different first experiences.

But among these great guest posts by some of our favorite authors, we’ll also be featuring some of them and have more giveaways!

For today we have Sarah J. Pepper and Meredith Towbin, both who have generously donated copies of their books in physical and ebook formats for giveaway. Check out the rafflecopter links at the end of the post!

Sarah J. Pepper
About Sarah J. Pepper

I specialize in dark, paranormal romance – think “happy ever after” but with a twisted, dark chocolate center. Real-life romance isn’t only filled with hugs, kisses, unicorns, and rainbows. True-love can be more thoroughly described in times of darkness and tribulation. It’s in those harsh moments where you see what a person is truly capable of – both the good and bad. Sometimes prince-charming isn’t always on time, and the glass slipper is a little snug. However, it doesn’t mean Charming is not Mr. Right, and who says every shoe is the perfect fit?

“Warning: Addictive passion erupts from her mouthwatering descriptions” – recent review.

Sarah J. Pepper lives in South Dakota with her real-life prince charming. At a young age, she fell for paranormal books and now incorporates that genre with romance that thrives in the hearts of us all. When she’s not storytelling, she’s most likely biking, hoarding chocolate, or taking a bubble bath.

About Meredith Towbin
Meredith Towbin writes dark contemporary young adult fiction. Her first novel, STRAIGHTJACKET, explores teen mental illness.

Before she wrote fiction for teens, she taught them all about English lit in the classroom. Later she edited textbooks and wrote review workbooks for, once again, all those lucky teens.

These experiences, along with her own vivid memories of being an awkward teenager, provide material for her works in progress.

We're two Puertorican girls who want to share our love of reading with the world. We sometimes substitute words for GIFS and either rant or fangirl a lot in our reviews. Talk to us about anything! 🙂
  • Congragulations again on your blogoversary and thanks for the awesome giveaways 🙂

  • I absolutely ADORE fairytale retellings. It’s definitely my go to genre because it takes great imagination to make a well known story feel original again. 😀

  • I’ve just recently gotten into fairy tale retellings and I’m in love. I absolutely loved Cinder and Scarlet by Marissa Meyer and can’t wait to read Cress.

Also, totally love that you have an LBD gif at the top 🙂

    • I haven’t read those books yet, but I’ve read a few that I love <3 And those new vlog series in YouTube have me anticipating new episodes each week.

And we LOVE Lizzie Bennet. Marianne, my co-blogger, read the book already... ugh. I still have to catch up, but it's awesome <3 Thanks for commenting!

  • I absolutely ADORE! retelling!! They give a new perspective to the original story! They could possibly be my favorite thing to read or watch!

    • Maylie you should check in YouTube some video episodes that are called The New Adventures of Peter and Wendy. You’ll fall in love with it <3 Thanks for commenting! 😀

  • I loooove fairytale retellings!! I’ve always been a huge fan of fairytales but I love reading new twists whether they take place in the same time period or our own they’re always exciting and new because everyone has their own thoughts on what they think should happen.

PS: If you haven’t watched Once Upon a Time you are totally missing out!!

    • I haven’t been able to read that many retellings, in fairy tales or other things like myths, but I agree with you. Sometimes I get a bit mad at how wrong they can be, but also can get to love the unique twist they are given by the authors. It’s cool and refreshing too. I started to watch the series and loved it! But I suck at keeping up with series and TV, so I haven’t watched much. But I’m hoping to continue soon <3 Thanks for commenting! 🙂
