Since last week we couldn’t post because of the Blog Tour of The Fairest of Them All, this week we’re posting 2 perfect boyfriends! Enjoy!

Marianne’s Perfect Boyfriend

James Carstairs, AKA Jem from The Infernal Devices series by Cassandra Clare

Description: Jem is quite pale with odd bright silver colored hair, like an untarnished shilling. His eyes are the same silver but with a gentle curve that hints at his chinese parentage, and he has a fine-boned angular face. He is also tall, very slender and handsome too. Jem is kind, gentle, and quiet, despite his bad past. He’s a good fighter and extremely intelligent. He doesn’t like to have people worrying about him and is especially secretive about his ‘illness’.

Why should he be My Perfect Boyfriend?

“Whatever you are physically…male or female, strong or weak, ill or healthy–all those things matter less than what your heart contains. If you have the soul of a warrior, you are a warrior. All those other things, they are the glass that contains the lamp, but you are the light inside.” ~Clockwork Angel

“It is as great a thing to love as it is to be loved. Love is not something that can be wasted”~Clockwork Angel

“Will has always been the brighter burning star, the one to catch attention — but Jem is a steady flame, unwavering and honest. He could make you happy.” ~Clockwork Prince

“You speak of sacrifice, but it is not my sacrifice I offer. It is yours I ask of you,” he went on. “I can offer you my life, but it is a short life; I can offer you my heart, though I have no idea how many more beats it shall sustain. But I love you enough to hope that you wil not care that I am being selfish in trying to make the rest of my life – whatever length – happy, by spending it with you. ~Clockwork Prince

“When two souls are as one, they stay together on the Wheel. I was born into this world to love you, and I will love you in the next life, and the one after that.” ~Clockwork Prince

I haven’t read Clockwork Princess yet, so PLEASE no spoilers! So, I chose Jem this week, because he’s just a perfect boyfriend. Jem is kind, charming, sweet, and handsome. He cares about your well-being above his own and he’s always there for you. This is the only book series in which I’ve been totally indesicive as to what “team” I’m in. All I know is that I’m totally head-over-heels for Jem, and that’s good enough for me.

Jem is played here by Mitch Hewer, an actor most famously known for his role as Maxxie on Skins (UK). Mitch is every bit as adorable as Jem is, and apparently I’m not the only one who thinks so, since deviantart is full of Mitch Hewer edits as James Carstairs.

Jennifer’s Perfect Boyfriend

Dashiell, AKA Dash from Dash and Lily’s Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan.

Description: Blue eyed and with black hair. He’s tall, with a medium built. He starts as being an annoying snobby smart kid who thinks he’s a know it all. but by the middle of the book Dash wasn’t annoying, but misunderstood, someone with great intelligence and his defense mechanism against people who didn’t understand being his great smartass remarks. He was logical, analytic, and carefully made his actions; spontaneous things happened rarely. He was also a sensitive kid, having to deal with his parents’ divorce. I have a thing for smart guys, I find it really attractive, specially when they know  a lot of fancy and posh words :3 He’d be right about my perfect boyfriend <3 haha And I simply imagine him as Joshua Anthony Brand. Though… Logan Lerman would do him good too…. :3

Why should he be My Perfect Boyfriend?

Sorry to be so goofy and obvious about the declaration, but there was something just so…dashing about young Dashiell. It wasn’t the fedora hat he was wearing or how nicely his blue shirt complimented his deep blue eyes; it was more the composition of his face, a mixture of handsome and sweet, young but wise, his expression arch yet kind.

“I was horribly bookish, to the point of coming right out and saying it, which I knew was not socially acceptable. I particularly loved the adjective bookish, which I found other people used about as often as ramrod or chum or teetotaler.”

“You have to trust the words. They do not create anything more than themselves.”

“But whether or not you are here, you are here- because these words are for you, and they wouldn’t exist if you weren’t here in some way.”

“We believe in the wrong things, that’s what frustrates me the most. Not the lack of belief, but the belief in the wrong things. You want meaning? Well, the meanings are out there. We’re just so damn good at reading them wrong.”

“All this hoping for something- or someone- that’s maybe hopeless. I’m having a hard time processing what I am supposed to believe, or if I’m even supposed to. There is too much information, and I don’t like a lot of it.”

Dash wasn’t exactly the most romantic type in this book, but still, he’s very swoony throughout the book. There’s no movie of this book as far as I know, but it would be cool that one would be made :3
