Simply Sunday Final1

Hey guys! In an attempt to keep a variety of stuff here on our blog, plus do stuff we love, we’ll be joining on this awesome meme. Simply Sunday is a reading meme run at Books For A Delicate Eternity. It’s where you can share your favorite quote of the week; be it from a book, a novella, a short story, a poem, a song – whatever you like!

So share with us and   your Simply Sunday! Tell us in a comment below, share the link to your Simply Sunday blog post, or even better on the original meme post 🙂

Marianne won’t be able to participate this week because she’s really busy with college right now (I have no idea how she can. She’s amazing :))

Jennifer’s My Simple Thing:

“I don’t care that they stole my idea . . I care that they don’t have any of their own”

The author of this quote is Nikola Tesla

Why I Chose It:

Since seventh grade (2009) I’ve had this thing with Nikola Tesla… I respect him so much, and he’s such a great role model. He went through a lot of problems in his life as an inventor and scientist. People would either steal his ideas or mock him for how amazing they were. While people saw the small picture of the present, Tesla would be already thinking of a bigger one in the future. He literally created the 21st century. Whenever someone abuses of something I did, talks bad of it, or takes it as their own in any area of my life, be it words or things, I think of this. What does it means? That it doesn’t matter that they took it away. If you made it, you can keep making more from where those came from. It is them who fail because they can’t make it on their own and depend on YOU.

  • Simply Sunday sounds like an awesome new feature, I look forward to reading what your quote of the week is! I love the reasoning behind why you chose that quote. I always used to get really annoyed when someone stole my ideas at school/uni. But then I realise that it’s a form of flattery!

  • I feel so honoured that you’re participating in Simply Sunday! ^.^
I think Tesla sounds like a really interesting person, so I think I may do some researching. Having ideas stolen is so heartbreaking, though. But his quote kind of puts that all into perspective; and an interesting one at that.
Thank you for participating in this meme, and for sharing your quote!
