Due to having College work, Marianne won’t be able to share with us her Simply Sunday 🙁 Also, sorry this got posted on a Monday, I had internet problems that made me think this got uploaded but didn’t… haha

Jennifer’s My Simple Thing:

I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner one tires of any thing than of a book! — When I have a house of my own, I shall be miserable if I have not an excellent library.”

The author of this quote is Jane Austen in Pride and Prejudice.

Why I Chose It:

I have yet to read Pride and Prejudice, but that hasn’t stopped me from liking the quotes of said book in Goodreads, and this is one I particularly love to bits because it’s true. There’s so many things we enjoy in life, but such as reading, there is none, or at least they are hard to compare them like the enormous enjoyment of having a good book in your lap after a long day of school or work, to succumb into a world of pure imagination  or knowledge. My parents say that once I have a house of my own I’ll have a big library, maybe as big and marvelous as the one from Disney’s Beauty and The Beast. I already have a few ideas <3 So in all ways, I see myself in these words, and it’s an example of how some things just go on and on from people to people, no matter if they’ve never met, we can be alike in many things as simple and enjoyable as reading 😀

We're two Puertorican girls who want to share our love of reading with the world. We sometimes substitute words for GIFS and either rant or fangirl a lot in our reviews. Talk to us about anything! 🙂
  • How could a book lover not love that quote? It’s everything we’ve ever felt in such a short sentences. 🙂
