The Murder Complex by Lindsay Cummings

Publication Date: June 10th 2014

Goodreads Summary:
An action-packed, blood-soaked, futuristic debut thriller set in a world where the murder rate is higher than the birthrate. For fans of Moira Young’s Dust Lands series, La Femme Nikita, and the movie Hanna.

Meadow Woodson, a fifteen-year-old girl who has been trained by her father to fight, to kill, and to survive in any situation, lives with her family on a houseboat in Florida. The state is controlled by The Murder Complex, an organization that tracks the population with precision. The plot starts to thicken when Meadow meets Zephyr James, who is-although he doesn’t know it-one of the MC’s programmed assassins. Is their meeting a coincidence? Destiny? Or part of a terrifying strategy? And will Zephyr keep Meadow from discovering the haunting truth about her family? Action-packed, blood-soaked, and chilling, this is a dark and compelling debut novel by Lindsay Cummings.

*Lindsay is an awesome girl I (Marianne) follow on Instagram. She’s down to earth and all around awesome. I actually thought this book was already released, but now that I know it’s not… I HAVE TO HAVE IT!!!

  • This sounds really good. Second one I’d seen on WoW today. 🙂

    • It probably has to do with the cover being revealed recently. It sounds pretty good 😀

  • This one sounds really good and Lindsay is really cool. I follow her on Twitter and she’s really sweet. I have to say though, I’m not thrilled about the cover. I think it could have been a lot better. But obviously I’m still going to read it. Great choice!

  • Whoa! I didn’t realise this had a cover already! It’s not what I was expecting, but I like it a lot. It’s definitely bold. I love the sound of this book and can’t wait to read it. Great pick! 🙂
