“Waiting On” Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.
This week’s Waiting On Wednesday are:
To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before
Publication Date: April 22nd 2014 by Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers
To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is the story of Lara Jean, who has never openly admitted her crushes, but instead wrote each boy a letter about how she felt, sealed it, and hid it in a box under her bed. But one day Lara Jean discovers that somehow her secret box of letters has been mailed, causing all her crushes from her past to confront her about the letters: her first kiss, the boy from summer camp, even her sister’s ex-boyfriend, Josh. As she learns to deal with her past loves face to face, Lara Jean discovers that something good may come out of these letters after all.
We’ve all had crushes before. We’ve all had that one person who we never confessed our feelings for. I’ve read The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han (and absolutely loved it!), so this is a book that I’m desperately waiting for. I (Marianne) need it in my hands, yesterday!
PS. Turns out both of us picked the same book without knowing. I (Jennifer) read the summary and just the thought of that happening to me is frightening and intriguing all at once. I’ve never read anything by Jenny Han, but this sounds like a good book to give a try once it comes out. Gimme!
