I bet that whenever anyone hears the word A Capella, they think about Pitch Perfect.
I’m here to help all of you discover the wonderful world that is A Capella!
Let me make something clear, I don’t mean to patronize or make anyone feel bad. No, no no. I just want to gush about my love for this wonderful musical genre.
Because, yes, it is a musical genre.
My lovelies, I will confess that I never knew about A Capella up until two years ago. I discovered it through a friend, and since then I’m proud to say that it’s one of my favorite genres.
Want an easy introduction to A Capella? Watch NBC’sĀ The Sing Off. It’s a reality competition where multiple a cappella groups compete to win a grand prize which is a recording label.
The Sing-Off has “discovered” many great groups, and one of those groups are… *drumroll*
Pentatonix is an AMAZING five person a capella group who produces beautiful music. You’d never believe they were a capella because they sound so completely amazing! They are my favorite a capella artists, and basically make a capella cool again. I NEED their new album like I need air.
If you want to learn about Pentatonix’s awesomeness, just subscribe to their YouTube channel, they have AMAZING covers of popular songs.
And, if you’re looking for other A Capella artists, there’s also Mike Tompkins, which does wonderful arrangements of different songs (I LOVE his arrangement of Clarity!). And Peter Hollens who did a collaboration with Linsey Stirling! Check out their channels on YouTube. You won’t regret it.
I’m not going to dismiss Pitch Perfect’s aca-awesomeness, because I loved that movie to bits. Like I said before, I just want to gush about my favorite artists and this amazing genre!
I hope you enjoyed this small insight and check out the music!
Have a Aca-Amazing day! š
I loved seeing Pentatonix but there were so many great groups on the show. I honestly didn’t know how to chose which was my favorite! Just the other day I was trying to remember the name of the show. Thank you soooo much! I’m glad to see it coming back on.

I also loved Delilah (girl-power all the way), the Yellowjackets and also the ones who always did a rap (I forgot their names!). But I loved Pentatonix because of the fact that they were only 5 people with a great sound! I’m glad that it’s gonna come back, too! Thanks for stopping by š
