Boricuan Bookworms Turns 1 Today! Day 1 Celebration + Giveaway!

It’s June 5th, which means it’s been officially ONE YEAR since the creation of the first post here in Boricuan Bookworms. If you ever feel curious about what that first post was about… DON’T. It was incredibly awkward and shy and we don’t like talking about it.

However, in this year we’ve had a lot of milestones, and we are so incredibly grateful for this wonderful year of growth and learning.

Here are some things that have happened over the past year:

  • Our blog got mentioned in a local newspaper in Puerto Rico
  • Our Facebook page reached 200 likes
  • We were mentioned on a Radio Station by Indie Author, Thomas Amo.
  • Best-Selling Author, Walter Moseley, mentioned us on his Facebook page (which subsequently lead to the biggest influx of visits we’ve had in the whole year)
  • We surpassed 100 followers in only a short month of being live (and since then we’ve acquired more and more followers!)

There is a lot of things we’re extremely grateful for, and a lot of people that helped us get here.

We would like to thank: Cait & Mime from Notebook Sisters, Alise & Bec from Readers in Wonderland, Dre from Sporadic Reads, Jeann from Happy Indulgence, Joy from Joyous Reads, Rebecca from Library Canary, Chiara from Books for a Delicate Eternity, and all those other bloggers who’ve been so supportive and welcoming to us! The list honestly keeps growing each day. (We’re so sorry if you’re not included! You’re in our hearts, though!)

We’re going to have a week-long celebration with Giveaways every day for all of you. Every day, different authors will be featured, and they’ll be giving away copies of their books. There will be different Rafflecopters for each giveaway, and you can enter as many giveaways as you’d like. Also, we will try to keep our usual blog activity with posting reviews or memes, though maybe no more than two as to not spam you.

Thank You to all the authors who have donated Prizes to us:

David Estes | Thomas Amo | Valia Lind | Karen Hooper | Eva Pohler| Tellulah Darling | Sarah J. Pepper | Mindy Larson | V. Anton | Angela Corbett | Meredith Towbin | Janeal Falor | Katie McGarry

Today’s Giveaway is simple:

PS. This is Jennifer adding as a sidenote… We are never, ever doing this again. This is too much, hard, headache inducing work. If we do, then Heaven help us and give us secretaries to help because this has been chaotic… xD

  18. Happy blogoversary! 😀 It’s so cool to how a lot of blogs are celebrating around this period. Haha. Somehow I’m surprised that you guys just turned a year old. Thought you guys had been around longer. Either way, yay on a year of awesomeness! 😀

    1. Thank you! We’ve been told that a lot of blogs are celebrating by the same time too. Maybe it’s because everything is better during summer…? Haha (I’m so lame…). Marianne started reviewing since 2012 and I a few months before the blog was born, but it feels longer than one year even if it went by pretty fast.

      Thanks again! 😀

  19. Happy Blogoversary and thanks for the giveaway!! I am not sure what book to choose, but something from my wish list for sure. ❤
