I love these awesome book tag posts because they’re so creative! Ebony from Daring Damsels tagged me to participate and I could not resist!
The emoji book tag is simple to answer. You take 5-10 of your most used or favourite emoji’s and pair them up with a book. I use a LOT of emojis when I’m in Whatsapp or Facebook Messenger, not so much when I’m texting per se. I just chose the 9 most recent emojis I had used. This was an incredibly fun post to write 😀
Let’s Begin!
Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets to the Universe by Benjamin Alire Sáenz: I am using the kissy face emoji because I honestly loved the book so much! I remember flying through the book without even trying.
I use this emoji for two main reasons:
1- I was just sarcastically mean to my best friend and want to fix it (hehehe)
2- Because it looks incredibly cute and I cannot help but using it when texting cute things. (ˆ.ˆ)
Dangerous Girls by Abigail Haas: This book needs the wtf emoji, the holy shit emoji, and the oh my effing gosh what the heck happened? emoji because it is literally what this book provoked in me.
Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor: I’m using the heart eyes emoji for this one because I fell head over heels for it. There was so much hype around it and I didn’t know how I would feel, so I’m glad I really loved it!
Fractured by Sarah Fine: The cliffhanger in this book surprised the hell out of me, and made me question what I did to deserve it, lol. So this is why I’m using the aformentioned oh my effing gosh what the heck happened? emoji.
On the Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta: Ugly crying emoji. Enough said.
Time Between Us by Tamara Ireland Stone: It had been a long time since I had read a book that made me feel all warm and gushy. Time Between Us was exactly that. I use the blushing smile emoji for this reason.
This Song Will Save Your Life by Leila Sales: I really did not like this book and counted the pages until it was over. I know everyone else loved it, but I just didn’t connect with the main character and didn’t like the plot.
I mainly use the annoyed beyond belief emoji when a friend of mine tries to make a joke and ultimately fails.
I tag:
Lola @ Hit or Miss Books
Rachel @ A Perfection Called Books
Miranda @ Tempest Books
and.. Anyone who would like to participate!
Do you use any of these emojis? Agree with my emoji choices? Let me know in the comments below! 🙂
Such fun emoji’s and answers, Marianne – thanks for doing the tag! 😀 You are spot on with Aristotle and Dante and Jellicoe Road!! I loved DoSaB too, but was slightly disappointed. I can’t wait to read DoBaS though! 😀 I’ve yet to read Dangerous Girls or Time Between Us, but I own them, so will hopefully read them soon. 🙂 I’m sorry to hear that you found This Song Will Save Your Life boring. I haven’t read it yet, but it’s on my TBR.

Yup, I totally get the ones for Dangerous Girls. Using ONE emoji would be impossible anyway. OHHH THAT BOOK MESSED WITH MY MIND. I still feel rather flabbergasted when I think of it. 😉 Also yes yes yes to This Song. That’s the perfect face for it. 😉

First of all, let me confess that I have a rather huge addiction to emojis, so this tag is absolutely perfection! Definitely one of my favorites! 😉
I have heard so many fabulous things about Ari & Dante and how beautiful and powerful it is, and I have requested it from my library. I can’t wait to see what all the fuss is about! 😀
AND YES! To say Dangerous Girls needs the WTF emoji is like saying cupcakes are good with icing – a definite understatement. That book definitely messed with my mind like no other, and I am glad you felt the same way!
And yeah! Black sheep unite! I felt the same way about This Song Will Save Your Life. It had the potential to be a good book, but it just…wasn’t for some reason. I’m glad to see someone felt the same way.
Thanks for sharing, and great choices! ❤
