Weekly Wrap Up
Hello, lovelies!
It’s been almost a month since I’ve actually been active on the blogosphere, and I am freaking out! I feel like a part of me is missing! I know that this is usually posted on the weekends but… whatever xD
I’ve been swamped with college work. It’s been crazy. Two straight weeks of tests every.single.day. and I think my brain can’t stand another test. I think I automatically think in French now; my French class has been INTENSE. (C’est terrible)
Anyways, I’ve also been a bit busy because I have a job! It’s nothing fancy, just selling cell-phone accessories, but I’m enjoying it. I like that it doesn’t really interfere with college or even with the time I usually designate to reading.
I’m still reading books, but it’s taking me way too long to actually finish a book. I think my brain isn’t capable of focusing on books anymore.
In some really (awesome to me) news, Katy Perry is coming to Puerto Rico! The last concert I went to was 30 Seconds to Mars last October, and I’ve been waiting to see if I could go to another. Imagine Dragons is also coming, but if I have to decide between both, I’d really love to see Katy. Ugh decisions, decisions. (Probably won’t be able to go to either since they’re so expensive, haha)
I’m currently reading:
Boomerang by Noelle August: the audio is really good and I love listening to it while on the train and while I’m driving back home. It makes the ride all the more enjoyable. Plus it’s a NA romance that is far from cliche!
Etiquette and Espionage by Gail Carriger: I’m actually picking this book up again because I had put it on hold for a very long time (almost a year) I’m liking it much more this time around!
A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin: No idea what compelled me to read it in the first place, but now that I’ve started it I’M COMPLETELY OBSESSED. It’s exactly the same but completely different from the series. I want nothing more than to just keep reading. But darnit I have priorities.
How am I doing with my Goodreads goal?
I think pretty good. While the picture says I’m behind, I don’t really feel that way. I’m reading multiple books at once, so I can easily stay on track.
Who I’m Following on Twitter:
I recently discovered some pretty AMAZING Twitter Parody accounts that I think you should all follow.
Other than Typical YA Heroine, there’s TypicalNAHero, BroodingYAHero, TropeHero, TropeHeroine, HeroineofNA, and I’m sure I must be missing some! But they are so hilarious and amazing. It’s just what you need after reading a particularly horrible book.
I’m also following several profiles related to The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater. I am currently reading the series and I’m so high on everything about it. So… I found Twitter accounts for each of the characters and now I’m feeling all the feels again. There are a couple of spoilers here and there, so just be careful 😉
Today is another day for exploring. Time is wasting. @iambluesargent@RonanAglionby@AdamAglionby@iamnoahczernypic.twitter.com/VgC4MHmwXk

Stacking the Shelves
It’s safe to say my book ban BROKE a long time ago. Woops.
If you want to know what books I get during the week, you should most definitely follow me on Instagram. I post lots of pictures of books 🙂
I only have one thing to say, and that’s BLUE LILY, LILY BLUE OMFG! I really want to forget all my books and just read that one RIGHT NOW. But I have responsibilities, alas.
Stay tuned for a review of Liars, Inc. by Paula Stokes. It was AMAZING.
Nice to see you around! College work really can be killer. I’ve had a lot of projects and whatnot to do, and even more to come…so it’s difficult to find time to do everything!
That’s exciting about the job too! Glad you are enjoying it.

Oh Marianne, I can definitely relate to being busy in the past month or so! Congrats on the job and good luck with your assignments lovely! I followed the typical YA heroine and brooding YA male as well, gosh they are hilarious. Happy reading!

There’s a Typical YA mom and Dad too and from what I’ve read it’s pretty funny. The mom account has “probably dead or invisible. Who knows” as a bio. Hahaha

I didn’t know you knew French! Très magnifique. J’aime parler le français avec des personnes qui le connaître bien. Français est ta langue maternelle?

I’ve been following those parody accounts for a while and they are so awesome! I believe there is a dystopian YA one too.
I hope you like Boomerang. It was one of the better NA’s that I’ve read.
