A Popular Book or Series You Didn’t Like
Marianne: I tried to like this book, I really did. I couldn’t like the main character, and the romance just wasn’t my thing. Here’s my review if you want to read my full rant.
Popular Book or Series that Everyone Hates But You Love
Marianne: A lot of people love this book, but a lot of people also hate it because of the love triangle and main character. I, on the other hand, loved it. It’s one of my all-time favorites, actually! Here’s my review if you want to know why I liked it.
Jennifer: I loved Allegiant for many reasons, one of them being the ending. I know, WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?! But like how I discussed with a fellow blogger and friend, the reality of the situation, the psychology it involved, and many other aspects made it seem real, and any other ending wouldn’t have been completely satisfying, as sad as this one was.
Love Triangle Where the MC Ended Up with the Person You Didn’t Want them to End Up With
Marianne: I don’t think I’ve had this happen to me. Yay, I guess?
Jennifer: Same as Marianne, so far.
Popular Book Genre You Hardly Reach For
Marianne: Steampunk! It’s not that I don’t like it, it’s just that I don’t get it. You can see what I think about steampunk in my discussion post.
Jennifer: I’m the same as Marianne on this one as well! Except, I also don’t read many historical fiction books, but not because I don’t like them, but because I find myself reading too many other genres. I like to try a little of everything from time to time whenever I can.
A Popular or Beloved Character that You Didn’t Like
Marianne: Cath from Fangirl! It’s not that I hate her, I just thought she was a bit annoying. Here’s my review for Fangirl.
Jennifer: (I liked Cath…) But I detested Alaska Young and Margo Roth Spiegelman. I don’t get what’s so great about them as oh-so-great characters that annoyed me to no end. Or maybe it wasn’t their fault, but John Green’s Male Character Syndrome of making everything annoying, even the Manic Pixie Dream Girl, which is mentioned again below…
A Popular Author that You Can’t Seem to Get Into
Marianne: I don’t know… I would’ve said Julie Kagawa but I really liked The Immortal Rules. Um… maybe Colleen Hoover. I’m not a huge fan of the Slammed series. Although I really want to read her newer books!
Jennifer: Cassandra Clare. I’ve read some things that are taking me some time getting over, and for now I’m just trying to steer clear of her books. However, in the near future I might read her Infernal Devices Trilogy instead of directly into the Mortal Instruments series (soo long!).
A Popular Book Trope that You’re Tired of Seeing
Marianne: Manic Pixie Dream Girls! I’m tired of this crazy erratic girl who’s super cool and super hot. Paper Towns made me realise how common they appear in books and how much I really don’t like it.
Jennifer: Other than the Manic Pixie Dream Girls, just your normal clichés I guess. I love well done clichés that can get a reaction out of me. You can either soar or fall flat with them. You gotta know how to work them, or else work with something entirely new. Please.
A Popular Series that You Have No Interest in Reading
Marianne: None. GIVE ME ALL THE BOOKS. Joking… maybe the Outlander series? Because it’s such a huge series and I don’t think I have the time. *cries*
Jennifer: Kill me, but I don’t want to read (as of now) The Heroes of Olympus Series. *cue gunshots*. I’ve had bad experiences with Third POV, and Son of Neptune bored me so much that I decided to not read the rest. I also don’t like multiple POV’s switching from character to character, even less SEVEN! I’ve been told Rick Riordan is a writing god doing that… so. For now, no interest in reading them. BUT I might give them a chance in the future.
Show/Movie Adaptation that You Liked Better Than the Book
Marianne: Paper Towns! It was so fun! I didn’t hate all the characters like I did in the book, so I’ve got to say that I liked this adaptation!
Jennifer: So as to not pick Paper Towns as well… It was hard to choose, but I go with Warm Bodies! And I just liked this one part of the movie better than the book because it had the added action that the book lacked in just that one scene, but both complimented each other nicely ❤

Ooh fun tag! I’ll have to really think about my answers. haha There are so many boos I’ve never read that would probably fit some of these questions. I still want to read The Sky is Everywhere, as I loved I’ll Give You the Sun.

What a fun tag guys! LOL I know how much you both hated Paper Towns, so I’m glad that you enjoyed the movie a bit more. I hate Manic Pixie Dream Girls as well – they’re just so unrealistic!
Yeah, I’ve only picked up 2 Cassie Clare books and I just have no interest TBH, even though I’ve met her in person. I don’t read much steampunk or historical fiction either.

Jennifer: YESSSSSS! I’m so excited that someone else feels the same way about Allegiant as me. It was undeniably my fave book in the series and I thought the ending was perfection. And I know that a lot of people hate Cassandra Clare’s TMI series and I get it, but TID is undeniably better. Like so, so, so much better. I don’t want to beg, but I’d definitely have to recommend giving it a shot at least. The dynamics is so different and I just.. it’s so much better. I’m not a fan of Riordan really either so don’t worry.
Marianne: I loved Kagawa’s The Immortal Rules too! I haven’t read of her other books though. They not as strong? And I really, really need to read/watch Paper Towns. I’ve heard lots of good about the movie in particular.
This was such a fun tag, girls. I think I might have to do it myself.

Yes, I LOVED Allegiant too!! I get it’s wrong to love how it wrapped up and it did tear my heart into about a bazillion pieces but it was just such a good ending because of what happens throughout the book!! I think I found my new favorite blog!
